I am Sarah Read and after nearly 20 years working in primary education, specialising in special educational needs and teacher training, I have taken the next step in following my passion to specialise in dyslexia and literacy difficulties.

As a primary practitioner, previous school special educational needs co-ordinator and mother of two dyslexic children I can offer a unique perspective. No only supporting school special educational needs processes but an understanding of the challenges families face and the joys of neurodiverse family life.

In January 2026, I completed my studies in literacy difficulties and dyslexia and in the summer term hope to have achieved my AMBDA qualification to allow me to assess and tutor children with literacy difficulties and dyslexia from May 2026.

Dyslexia assessments are appropriate for children over the age of eight who are having ongoing literacy challenges despite intervention at school and home.
